I'm not alone! I was waxing for over 10yrs (since I was 19) until my son's dog started to eat the wax (I hate that dog - first it was the homemade sugar wax stuff then when I switched to regular wax he went for that too. So I go the electric thingy - the first time really hurt - after that don't even flinch. I do my legs twice a year - I wear knee high cotton socks & boots.... that helps wear the hair off with friction. And the underarms I do every other month unless I'm dating someone. I'm a single Mom so my kid & my menagerie of animals don't care if I'm shaggy. And after all these years of not shaving there's hardly any hair, it so fine no one notices but me - I've been debating getting it laser-ed off since the price of that has gone down a lot & there's so little hair that one visit should do it. Wow!

The companies figured out the policy of getting you hooked by selling the handle cheap then making money on the refill cartridges. It's the ink printer profit model. There are options, there is even a whole community http://badgerandblade.com/ (i'm not affiliated, just think it's a cool site) people who reject the new-fangled disposable razors and go with the old-school fixed razors. It's a little expensive to get the razors, but blades are wicked cheap. This kind of gear will never wear out, and once you've made the investment, will save you a ton of money over the years.
