We have our windows open 10 months of the year and I love the sea breeze. But, I grew up in the valley where it was well over 100 most summer days and we didn't have air conditioning there either. It was a dry heat, but it was also pretty smoggy, so that sucked. I’m pretty lucky in that I live at the beach and don’t have air conditioning.

I got home from a 9.5 hour day at work and it was 87 degrees in my house. The air is on now. :) I'll just keep it around 80 or so, enough to make it feel good and not humid and make me all sweaty. Like you said, I don't want to be completely miserable! @Carrie- You know, I have thought about pretending we don't have it but when I got home today I had to cave. I'll see how it's going to be this weekend and maybe I will turn it off again. I'm just going to keep it around 80 or so. I check pollen.com for low pollen days and open the windows a bit then just in case it gets a little stale. I'd rather spend a little extra on A/C (my bill is still around $50-60 a month for my apartment) and not be completely miserable.
