Hey, thank for recognizing The Rat’s guest post!

No worries on the friend, what goes around comes around. Both to her and to you. You did good and good is always rewarded.

I’m willing to bet that your friend wants to pay you back, but she probably isn’t able (like she wasn’t able to make her mortgage payments.) Now avoiding you and making sorry excuses is all she has. Definitely frustrating. Money can be given to friends and family, but like you said, I would NEVER loan them money. My wife and I agree, if we cannot afford to give it to them with no expectation of getting it back, then we do not give it at all. It works out well. I feel for you… try and have patience with your friend, again, I doubt she is doing this with guile, she probably just doesn’t have the money. Consider buying her and her husband a Dave Ramsey FPU course so they can learn how to properly manage their money! 🙂

Thanks for the link love, and I hope your friend/debt issue resolves itself soon. Like I said before, I’ve been there and it sucks.

What about letting her pay you off a little bit at a time?
