I’ve been using a cup for years, and want to convert my friends! They always complain about how messy and painful their periods are, but won’t spend the money to try a cup. I’m hoping cups will make them happier about their periods like I am!

  2. Sally says:

I would like to use the keeper. Both as a way to help the environment, and also as a way to save money.

  3. crystal says:

  4. erickajen says:

i want to try a keeper because i hate tampons, and i hate dealing with the garbage and the smell, and i hate not being able to do what i want to do when i have my period! i want to try it because its safer, kinder to the environment and cheaper than buying and then disposing of all those biohazards!

i just need a little help starting out! we are on a very limited budget, and although its worth it in the end, its hard to come up with the 30$ right now to get one. i havent bought pads or tampons in a while because since i have an iud i dont have many periods and when i do they are not heavy. but pretty soon the iud will be done and then what will i do? i dont think i can afford another bunch of money spent on bills!
anyway, i just really want to give this thing a try, and i think i deserve to win one so i can start a healthier, more environmentally friendly way to do it!

    I’m curious.

I’m curious if it stops night leaks!

I’m curious to see how it can free me from extra monthly expenses!

    I’m curious about comfort!

I’m curious to know how the Keeper can change my life!

Let’s end the curiosity and I’ll enjoy my free Moon Cup!

I am an athlete and find it hard to be active with menstral pads as luck seems to be the only thing holding it in place (on the rare occasion they do work.) And still I can’t bring myself to use tampons for fear of leaving little particles of bleached fabric behind. I’m sure my boyfriend would also be happy not to have my alternate supply of feminine protection cluttering up his bathroom. I would love to try something that is as good for my health as for that of the environment! If this is as awsome as I’m hoping and expecting I know what all my fellow athletes will be getting for Christmas!!

  7. Analisa says:

    Hello,

I am preparing for a 2-month trip to Chad , Africa and am researching alternatives to tampons. I have heard many positive things about the Keeper from friends, but have yet to spend the money to experiment. I think this is the perfect opportunity to try something small, sustainable, and simple.
While I am traveling, I will not want to deal with changing tampons frequently. I also do not want to produce excess waste in a country where the women most likely do not use tampons themselves. A Keeper would be the perfect solution. After my trip, I will continue to use the Keeper to avoid the unnecessary waste of tampons back home!

Thank you for this opportunity :)

Hi, I would love to win the Moon cup (silicone) because just like many women I’ve always used tampons, sometimes pads and I thought those we’re the only 2 choices, that was it, there was no other way. The other day I came across a discussion about menstrual cups and at first was put off yet the more I thought about it the more sense it made and the more intrigued I became. Once I started searching out more info it’s like something just clicked with me, I ended up spending hours researching the different cups, learning all about the different sizes, stems, flexibility, reading every blog, forum and review I could find. I finally decided that the silicone Moon cup would be the perfect choice for me because it’s Silicone, FDA approved, made in the USA, and the company has a great reputation. I want to win the cup because it almost feels like fate that I came across this contest and hopefully I will finally win something I really want (and also I never win! *fingers crossed* LOL) Thanks so much! Emily

  10. bella smyth says:

i would love this as im very heavy and hate using tampons and pads i find there not enviroment freindly and so to win this would be so brilliant as not only i save cash each month i also help save the enviorment x

  11. Gemma says:

My life is complete. I mean, I can honestly sleep better knowing that somewhere, there are people designing sanitary towels that don’t rustle when you open them (I would just hate to think that the woman in the stall next to me knew I was…you know…on….), tampons that have skirts and pads that turn a blue colour when they get wet. I’m glad there are product designers out there whose sole job is to “outsmart Mother Nature”.

Actually, that’s all a load of rubbish. I’m not proud at all. I’m fed up of being forcefed drivel in an attempt to line some fat cat’s pocket…that same fatcat who tells us menstruating is unclean and something to be ashamed of. When did this happen? Why has something so natural (and celebrated in many cultures) turned into a multi billion pound industry?

What are we doing to ourselves? If we’re all concerned with saving money and the Earth, why are more women not using reuseable products? I already use washable pads, but would love to try a mooncup please!

  12. Sarah Adamson says:

Hi! Thank you for giving away such neat prizes! I’m writing because I would like to win a Moon cup. About a hundred years ago I tried a disposable cup. I really thought it was great. Although I know I wasn’t supposed to, I even washed it out and used it over and over again, but just for that cycle. I would really like to try it again. I just know I’ll love it.

    Sincerely,
    Sarah

  13. intan says:

I wanna try the keeper because I always have problems with the pads. I’m an active girl, and pads make me feel so uncomfortable when I’m in my period. I heard that this product is good, it’s comfortable, very hygiene, no garbage, money safer, and it’s safe! but there’s no place that sells this product in my country, Indonesia.

  14. Lisa D says:

I got my period when I was 11. Having sensitive skin, wearing pads caused me to break out pretty severely every month. When I was 12 I asked my mother if I could try tampons. She agreed and bought me a small box for light absorbency. I read through the pamphlet that came in the box several times and thought it over for a few days before getting up the nerve to try them, but decided to move forward with it on Christmas morning. After all, I was going to be headed to my dad’s to celebrate the holiday and didn’t want to carry pads with me. I thought using a tampon would free me up from the hassle of my period on Christmas.

I had quite an influential young mind back then and within 1 minute of inserting my first tampon I just “knew” I was suffering from the TSS I had read about! I quickly took it out and spent my entire Christmas day in bed “recovering.” Not very much fun for a 12 year old!!! (You see, I did NOT have TSS, I just read so much about it I figured I must have had it. In hindsight, I realize it was just some anxiety about putting a tampon “up there.”)

I am now a 32 year old woman who has given birth to two children naturally. I have used maybe 2 other tampons my whole life with no problems except feeling like I had a hard wad of cotton inside me. I’d really love to try the Moon Cup because I’m at the point I will do or try anything to get away from the monthly breakouts I have been experiencing for the past 21 years.

  15. Tannis says:

I would love to win a moon cup! I have been doing some research about tampons and pads are actually made of and it’s quite scary actually! To think we put this stuff directly against our “pretty parts”! Yikes. I would really like to try the moon cup and convert to a lifestyle that is better for the environment and also it’s cheaper! I would also like to see if using a cup would help decrease my cramps! I would love to win! :)

  16. Jen says:

I love my keeper! I started using it in high school, and even though I got some weird looks and comments when the talk of feminine hygiene came up, I did convert some friends over to this more environmentally-friendly choice.
I just gave birth to my first child, and will need to go up to the “after birth” size. It’s been difficult to find a local store that carries these products, so I would love to win one! (Although we’re exclusively breastfeeding, I’m sure I won’t be period-free forever!)

    Thanks!

  17. Emily N. says:

Let me first say how many people I have heard rave about menstrual cups. They seem much better than their alternatives and they waste less too! It’s great to use less paper and help the environment.

My periods are very unusual and I have often have trouble using and removing tampons because of my light flow. Because of this, I cannot go swimming. The feeling of pads is uncomfortable and seeing all of the paper and plastic that it takes to make and manufacture them can be depressing. I have also heard of possible effects of the chemicals in tampons.

I would feel most comfortable with the Moon Cup because of the silicone it’s made of. Menstrual cups sound like a great safe and environmental way to deal with your period and I would appreciate the chance to try one out.

  18. Tannis says:

I had tried to post here already, but my comment didn’t show up! So here we go again! I would love to win a moon cup because of the convenience. I like using tampons because their hassle free and you can move around, but I don’t want to give them up because they are handy. The moon cup would allow me freedom still, but it would be better for my body and less chemicals going in to me! And it would be better for the environment. I would love to win!

  19. Tannis says:

Sorry, looks like both of my comments are there now!

  20. Gicély says:

I want to try a keeper, because I believe it is a good alternative method to help us to save our planet. It´s also a way to free the animals that are submited to cruel tests only to provide us tampons and pads. And, besides, it´s an excelent choice to help us keeping our feminine health, avoiding the intense exposition to bacteria and the high temperatures provided by pads and tampons, allowing our vagina to breathe. We can be healthy and sure that our option is the best for our world!

  21. Vicki Bower says:

I would love to get a chance to try the keeper. I have very heavy periods and always need to use excessive paper products, and would expect that your visual representation of the waste created by disposable products is just the tip of the iceberg in my case.
I am a very active 41 year old college student and new (very surprised and adjusting) grandmother. I have a 19 year old son who works full time at Radio Shack and my 17 year old daughter moved out but still needs me :) . I am on a college student budget, and after I obtain my Associates degree in May, will go on for my Bachelors and also Masters in Arts Management. I attend classes full-time for Gallery Management and also work in the gallery at my school for 18-25 hours a week. In addition to this, I am an avid participant in the art communities of Albany, and Troy, NY. I help people move and hang their artwork, promote venues, and try to help fellow artists start showing and selling their art. I rarely sit down without a schoolbook in my lap!
We rent an apartment in an old house and just last week had a sewer problem when my “flushable” tampons backed up our line and if something like this happens again, we will be charged. I was in a mental turmoil worrying about putting used tampons in the garbage and how sanitary that would be (and even more wasteful to wrap discretely in toilet paper). This could be a definite solution to my dilemma.
Thanks for coming up with this idea. It seems like a viable alternative to the cloth pads, too!

  22. Brianna says:

I’ve been wanting to try a menstrual cup for nearly a year now, but haven’t been able to choose the brand I wanted to try. I finally decided on the Keeper, went to their website, and lo and behold — a giveaway! I dern near danced a jig. It isn’t that $30 is hard to come up with, but with 3 kids under 5, the money always has somewhere else to go!

I’ve lived all my menstruating life dealing with disposable pads and tampons and feeling like crap every time I have my period. I have PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome so my periods are bad to begin with; add in the absorption of toxic crap for 7 days straight and you have a recipe for, well, nothing happy, trust me! I recently got a sewing machine and am planning to make some “mama cloths” to replace my disposable pads, but I have nothing to replace the convenience of mess-free tampons. I don’t want to be banned from swimming just because I have my period, I don’t want to be restricted for a week of every month because tampons are hard on my body. I love the fact that the menstrual cups are in silicone now since I’m also allergic to latex! This would be perfect for me; a special Christmas present to the lady who just wants to feel normal again!

  23. Rebecca says:

I leak past tampons. The entire month is a mess because it’s so heavy for so many days. I’m tipped and tilted so tampons are uncomfortable anyway. Pads are so uncomfortable!

Plus, my daughter at 10 1/2yo just started her period. I’d like to try alternatives to pads and tampons and get her started early on using other things. Winning a keeper would be a great start for us!

  24. sam says:

Ohhh, I want to win….I’ve been checking these out for a while & just haven’t got up the nerve to lay down my cash to purchase one, to much money has been spent on “great” things that turn out garbage. So I would really love to try & than spend if it ends up being what I’m HOPING it will :)

  25. Judith says:

I would love to have a keeper cup. We recently moved to a very rural location and have no trash pick up. Everything we “throw away” (there really is no “away” but that’s another essay) has to be separated into compost, recycle, burn box or dump. The dump costs money so I try to avoid buying anything that adds to that pile. To reduce dump runs, as well as many other benefits we’ve changed a lot of our practices. Stopped eating animals, smoking cigarettes, eating processed, over-packaged foods, using cosmetics that come in plastic bottles, no more one use paper products, and buying things wrapped in plastic as little as possible. Pads and tampons are individually wrapped in plastic and are MADE of plastic. What a waste! Argh!
A menstrual cup and reusable cloth pads is the next logical step toward my (impossible) goal of zero waste.
    Thanks!

  26. Meagan says:

I would like to try a keeper, because with tampons I ALWAYS FORGET ABOUT THEM being inside of me!!! Also tampons are very very expensive, and smell weird!

  27. Natalie says:

After years of frustration with disposable menstrual products, I tried a menstrual cup a little over a year ago and was an instant convert! I keep it in its little pouch in my purse and never have to worry about not having enough “supplies” on me during my period. Plus, I had never thought about how much waste a woman can create by using disposables until I didn’t use them anymore and realized how much less trash I made!

What made me really sad was talking to female relatives and friends and having them balk at the thought of menstrual cups. Their mindset is that a period is something to glumly tolerate in discomfort once a month, and that it’s “gross” or “dirty.” How hard it is to explain how much more free I feel with a cup instead of tampons! I would love to have a different menstrual cup (one I haven’t actually used) on hand to demonstrate to other women how it works and what it looks like, and perhaps to give away if they are quite interested!

  28. Tracy says:

I would love to get a chance to try a Moon Cup. A few of my friends have been talking about them but none of us has ever tried them. I hate using tampons and pads. I think pads are just completely uncomfortable. Plus, it would be nice to not have to worry about keeping around a stock of disposable products. I’ve been doing some research and have found so many different brands of cups. I have no idea which one to choose so winning a cup would be wonderful!

  29. Wendy says:

I’m a mom of 5 daughters. Sadly we’ve gone through a LOT of throw away pads and tampons in our years. I have some cloth pads, and have a manstrual cup as well. My oldest has sensative skin and breaks out like diaper rash with disposable pads. She started using cloth pads about a year ago and it has helped a lot. I told her about the menstrual cup but as a youngish girl, it seemed weird and ‘icky’ to her. She’s about to get married and they are both college students and will have very little money. I think she shoud try a cup and see if it works for her. So… I’d love to win a free one to give her to try.
    Thanks for a wonderful product!
