Win a Keeper or Moon Cup Menstrual Cup! *CLOSED*

*********CONTEST EXTENDED UNTIL MARCH 1*************

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR ENTRIES!  We are picking winners now and will start the next contest on March 15!

The generous ladies at The Keeper have done it again!

In April, I wrote about alternative menstrual products. From that post, I was in touch with the wonderful people at The Keeper, Inc., manufacturer (since 1987) of The Keeper reusable latex menstrual cup, and they have very generously offered to give a Keeper or Moon Cup* menstrual cup to the winner of our Giveaway Contest! I am so excited to be able to give you a chance to win a menstrual cup!

So, if you would like to stop using those messy disposable menstrual products, such as tampons and pads; and if you’d like to do your part to help save the environment, please enter our contest to win a Keeper. For a graphic representation of the number of tampons and pads the average woman uses in 1 month, 1 year, 10 years, and during her menstruating lifetime, please check this out. You’ll be shocked by what you see! So, please write and tell us WHY you want to try a Keeper; and convince us that you’re the woman who deserves to win our contest.

Submit your comment, up to 500 words, by midnight on March 1, 2010 on this post, or email me at keepercontestATgmail.com.

Please tweet, link, Stumble, and share with your friends and family!

*Some women may either be allergic to latex, or might just prefer silicone. Please note, there are also allergies to silicone! If this is the case, write and tell us why you want to win a Moon Cup, which is The Keeper, Inc.’s companion product. The Moon Cup is exactly the same as The Keeper – same size, same dimensions, etc. The only difference is the material it is made from. To learn more about both products, go to The Keeper’s website.

Dear FTC: I am in no way affiliated with The Keeper Company.  I am just lucky that they love me enough to help give away some of their fabulous menstrual cups.  I’m not getting paid or sponsored.  I just honestly love their product more than ice cream.

I was just planning to buy a DivaCup this weekend. I’ve recently been amazed at the amount of products we just take for granted that we have to buy all the time. It truly is freeing when you realize that investing in a one-time purchase can save thousands of pieces of trash from going to the dump. In addition, with this there is no driving to the store or having to remember to pack tampons and pads on vacation. I’ll definitely be getting one of these soon so whether or not I win, I can’t wait to own one.

I’m really intrigued by the Keeper. My friend uses another menstrual cup and keeps wanting me to try it but I’m hesitant. I feel that it’s too “green” for me.

I’ve had two children and my periods have been very heavy and irregular since I’ve had them. I’d love something that is more environmentally friendly!

I’ve considered buying a Keeper for years, but it’s one of those things that always slips my mind. After finalizing my plans to go backpacking this summer, my motivation was once again sparked by the desire to travel light and save money while traveling–along with reducing my environmental impact. If I could win a Keeper, that’s one more travel expense I could avoid! ;)

I love the idea of complete Green Living. I am slowly, as money will allow, changing everything disposable I own to reusable items. I heard of the cloth alternatives to menstrual cycle and was unsure about them because I’ve always used tampons. But a friend of mine told me to check out The Keeper as a Green alternative to tampons. I spent quite a while on their website and am totally sold on trying The Keeper out!!! I would love love love to win one from you in order to try it out!! But honestly if I don’t win one I will eventually, once money allows, buy one to try out since they have that awesome 3 month guarantee on their website!! I mean they must be pretty positive you’ll love it in order to give you a full 3 months guarantee!! No other companies out there do that! I learned about your contest directly on The Keeper website so that’s awesome of them to promote your website like that!! So anyhow, please please please pick me to win The Keeper!!!!

I live in Portugal and it is really, really, really hard to find an alternative to the usual tampons and pads. I was so relieved to find you while I was ‘googling’… ;O) I’ve never even heard about this possibility of cups here in Portugal! It would be fantastic to win this contest and share this information about this product with everyone I know!

I have used my keeper cup for a long time now. Mine is giving its last shots to the life expectancy given. I would love to own a new one to keep saving the planet from the hazardous junk that sanitary pads and tampons are. Right now I cannot afford to buy a new one since I have other priorities, I lost my job and still have not been able to find another one to support my 2 year old the way HE deserves, when is not that I’m over qualified, they just don’t call…and living from wellfare and WIC is not easy.
Anyway, I would love to have the opportunity to have a new keeper cup before mine loses the stem which, I have not mentioned, is what it is about to fall apart from the cup. Thanks!! =)

I just learned about “The Keeper” this weekend and I am really interested in it for the main purpose of its eco-friendly nature. After reading over the website, it seems that there are so many positives, it must be worth a shot to take one more step in my life to reduce my carbon footprint. If I won a Keeper I would love to spread the great news about it to my friends and tell them about this website. I am far from shy about sharing new and exciting news like this! I have a very active friend circle and I can’t believe none of use this!

Right now, as we speak, I´m going through my very first cycle ever of my 27 years using non-mainstream methods. Congratulations to me; I’m so excited! I heard about using sea sponges and decided to try it – I’ve been sick of using dry, painful wads of bleached, chemical-laden fibers, designed only to keep me paying to throw them away! I’d been using pads, and even though they are significantly less painful I have felt guilty about the amount of waste involved and hate the cost. I heard someone mention sea sponges and went for it. The pre-formed tampons are sold online, but a box of two goes for $13 or more! I found a whole big sponge at a local store for $15 and cut my own little tampon off and am in love! It isn’t dry; it’s moist and friendly and natural and even though I cannot watch gore in movies I’ve been surprised how much fun it is to clean out in the sink! I seriously feel like switching to sponges is the best decision of my life I’ve made for myself as a woman.

My only real problem with it is that I have heavy flow for two or three of my five to eight days. If you’ve used the sponge, you know that it requires frequent rinsing. On these heavy flow days, on my college campus, I’m sneaking off to the bathroom every hour or two and I have to find one of the elusive and far-away single-user restrooms to rinse my sponge in peace, or wait in my stall until the place empties out before I can rinse, or deal with strange, even condemning looks while I explain that what I’m doing is actually a really great thing. The very first day and the last few aren’t a problem, but those heavy days in the middle are very problematic.

I’ve heard about this “keeper.” I have a friend who swears by hers. Says she leaves it in several hours at a time and just showers a little more often when she has her cycle, rinsing it out in there. Says she and her partner can have intercourse still, too. I haven’t tried one because I once tried something somewhat similar and had trouble getting it to settle in, so the idea that it may or may not work has turned me off when I look at the cost.

But I find myself at a place in my life where I want to try new things for myself! I want to have a happy vagina, I want to do the little things I can to help my mother Earth, and I don’t want to be afraid to try new things! If this contraption is as good as you say it is, well then, I’m willing to give it a try – if you think I’m deserving! I’ve already converted friends to the sponge after just one cycle – maybe I’ll make “keeper” converts in the future!

    hi!
i’ve been living in the international township of auroville, in tamil nadu, south india for around 7 years. we live in the forest and spend our time on reforestation of the land, running a community-based school and offering workshops on environmental issues. i have heard about the mooncup/keeper from many friends and know absolutely that it will be perfect for me. we have compost toilets in the community and i have been told that the menstrual blood added to our composting bins will make even more wonderful compost (-: our waste disposal in the community, while doing their best, find no real solutions for disposing of sanitary pads/tampons, and i would love to stop using them. i have considered cloth pads, but find them impractical and quite uncomfortable. i would love to use a mooncup!!! the only reason i have not purchased one yet is financial – we work for very little and our lifestyles are basic. the cost of a mooncup is over a third of my monthly income (-: would you help me out here?

Hi, my name is Tasha and I’m 20 year old college student, and the thought of my menstrual cycle puts me in a dark mood, its miserable. Right now I am sitting in my room in all my pad wearing glory, wishing someone would have sympathy and save me from the hell that is my pre-Keeper life. I know I know, I sound melodramatic, but shouldn’t all women who have to deal with outdated menstrual products that don’t do as they are supposed to(which is to make a simple week of your life easier) be a bit dramatic? Maybe if more women were passionate about their periods we would all be using products like the Keeper and have many more options other than tampons and pads. I’ve been dying to try the one of these menstrual cups, since I first heard they existed. The reason I even know that this contest was because of my desperation to use a product that would stop the anxiousness that leaving the house on my period entails. I have a heavy period so I’ve always been a ‘pad girl’ and it wasn’t until recently I’ve starting trying to use tampons. I dread the time of the month where I have to check my pants for a dark stain every few minutes. And I worry about how I’m going to combat that horrible feeling I get in the morning where I know there is blood everywhere.
I would like to feel like my body is my own and that it doesn’t belong to the overbearing presence of my period.
When I think of a Keeper, it just brings up images of freedom that the tampon can only wish to convey. With the keeper I see myself losing my fear of the end of the month, not worrying about carrying ‘extras’ on me.
I want liberation from the pollution I’m enduring not only to the environment but to my body. Being one more person to be able to join in and buy something that isn’t hurting our world is a major plus for me. It also helps that I’m a poor college kid and would love nothing better than to be able to save money. So, give a girl some hope, I’ll be sure to spread it.

I bought a Keeper for myself in college & have successfully used it & LOVED it ever since! This means that I haven’t bought tampons or pads in over 10 years!! What I love most about the Keeper (in addition to the obvious money-saving & environment-saving factors), is that it really keeps you in touch with your menstruation. Of course, I bought it to stay green, but the resulting empowerment of really understanding my flow & feeling really connected to my body was a surprising plus. As I said, I’ve been using the same one for over 10 years now & I no longer dread the coming of my monthly womanhood.

Now, after getting married last summer, my husband & I are pregnant with our first child. There’s a lot of thinking & planning for us in the next coming months, but one thing that is a no-brainer is that I need to change from a B-style to an A-style Keeper. Winning an A-style would be an awesome baby shower gift! No matter what, I’ll continue to spread the word. Thanks for making an awesome product that helps keeps women in tune with their bodies & out of landfills!

    Hi,
I’ve been using the keeper since 2000. I became aware of it in a women’s health group I used to belong to while attending college in California. I LOVE IT. I am such a fan and advocate have converted many family members and friends to this eco-friendly product. It has been wonderful, economical and hassle free (especially for being an outdoor girl who loves to backpack, kayak, etc. This product has been helpful in outdoor situations and foreign countries). I am currently pregnant with our first child and was surfing the keeper site looking to see how to order an “A” size for after delivery and came upon this promotion to win a free mooncup or keeper. So, I thought I would submit my entry and let you know how much I appreciate your product and the opportunity to enter the contest. Best wishes, Deja

It was a man who introduced me to the idea of Moon cycle. I would love to credit one of the wonderful Matriarchs in my life. Blessed with three Grandmothers, one mother, one sister, a handful of wild woman Aunts, and fourteen female cousins, it seems impossible that it would be my Uncle who inadvertently turned me on to synchronizing my monthly period with the moon. My uncle, the Public Defender, first born son of an Italian immigrant, father to an only son, the defending champion of Patriarchy who introduced me to his favorite book, ‘Still Life with Woodpecker’ by Tom Robbins. It was the socio-psychodrama of Princess Leigh Cheri that had me meditating straight from my uterus, a direct dial to the moon, imagining how easy it would be if I could tune my mensus in with the lunar cycle.

It seems cliché, but I entered womanhood during Junior High, during swim classes. We would report to gym class and be loaded and bused to the High School pool. Excuses started to surface, so and so doesn’t have to swim, she’s on her period. It seemed like a good lie, not to have to wear your swim suit around the boys. Then it happened, on the bus, on the way home from swim class. Now I would have to tell my mother, she would have to write me a note. I didn’t know which was more embarrassing now, my swim suit or that note. Those were the days when they didn’t expect you to use a tampon so you could swim, though it was encouraged. Now, in my thirties, I’m expected to work a full-time job, juggle a relationship, and all my other attachments without missing a beat.

I always thought the most disgusting part of my period was the swollen uterus, with the unwavering urge to eat and vomit at the same time, that throbbing gut that hurts all the way from your heart to your thighs. More recently, I have come to think of the bleached, plastic, waste that is ‘feminine hygiene’ products as the worst part. I buy the cheapest thing on the shelf and have them floating around my car, my purse, my locker. For every one that I use, two get stepped on or open in my purse before they ever make it into my Vagina. Then there is the bathroom garbage can, after the first two heavy flow days and nights of my period, it is something like a toxic waste container under the sink, full of huge wads of toilet paper wrapped around my blood diapers and discarded cotton blend inserts.

I am at a point in my life where I am ready for a change. I would love the chance to try a new method of period control. I am ready for the convenience and genius of the diva cup.

While preparing my daughter for her coming periods I wanted to give her as much information on all the products out there for her to use. I found this product during my search and was intrigued and wanted to try it for myself. I have long felt like the cost of regular sanitary products was becoming more and more expensive and wasteful and now there will be two women in the house using sanitary products. This would address both issues. I would love to try a Moon Cup!!
    Thank you!!

The green girl in me was not fully prepared for three boys in four years so the cloth diapers and homemade baby food gave way to ecologically un-friendly convenience. Fifteen years later, I am making time to develop the green diva in me. I had never heard of the keeper/moon cup until reading a book from the library entitled “The Eco Chick Guide To Life”. I was thrilled to discover a more eco-efficient alternative to organic cotton feminine products. Winning a moon cup now would free up some money toward my next project: the compost bin.

    Hi,
I have just recently started trying to find ways to save money by using coupons etc. (love to save money in this very hard economic time)
While searching for coupons for tampons and pads, I was happily surprised to run across the Keeper website :-) which I never even knew existed. This is the first time I have ever heard of reusable pads too, which I am going to do more research on to see how they work. (sounds very intriguing)
But anyways, on the Keeper website they had a link saying you were holding a contest to give away a Moon Cup, which I am very interested in winning. :) I see there are a lot of women to choose from, but I am hoping that you will choose me!! (please..)
This would be not only an ultimate money saver, but also it is a very environmentally friendly alternative (yay) compared to the pads and tampons I am currently using every month. (yucky)
Thank you for being so generous to have held this contest!!
    Very Thankfully Yours,
    Tami

Though I really wanted to reduce my personal impact on the environment and landfills, I had not heard enough about the materials used to feel safe enough to try one. I am in a different place now and am ready to try The Keeper. It just makes sense, all the way around–environmentally, practically, and economically–and I am excited to try it! My job is ending at the end of February, so winning one would be very helpful, as well.

I am an avid Keeper user and advocate. I bought my first and only (so far) in 2000 when we were preparing to live in Zambia, where feminine products were very hard to come by. After giving it a try I was sold, and have used it ever since not purchasing a single tampon in the past 10 years. YEAH!! My Keeper is still in great shape and going strong, I don’t expect to replace it in the near future.

Now my oldest daughter is close to her first menses and after talking with her the Keeper is what she is choosing also.

It would be really great to win one as we are completing an international adoption which will bring our total number of females in our house to 6, and with adoption costs what they are funds are on the very low side right now.

Thanks for the chance to pass the Keeper on to the next generation.

The reason why I would like to win a Moon Cup menustral cup is: I am 42 years old and ery active for my age. I am a Flight Attendant and I am heary bleeder. I can’t stand the first few days of my cycle when it comes, because I feel like the rest of the world is observing every move I make when it is that time of the month. I am having to wear a Ultra tampon as well as a, overnight pad to keep from leaking. With the job I have and the facilities that are available to me at any given moment, I think the Moon Cup may just be the solution. I can’t imagine only having to go to the restroom once or even twice during the day. WOW! I really would like to have the opportunity to try it. If it works as well as it states it does, I will tell anyone and anyone who will listen. I hate pads they break out my bottom and tampons don’t seem to work without them considering my flow. I hope I am the one you pick!! THANKS! I can work in confidence again.

Well this being said I would love to use a keeper but with 4 children and 2 in diapers it is real hard to afford one. I have real light periods and using tampons hurt so bad even using the lightest ones due to such a high absorbency. I refer to the tampon removal as my soul being removed with it. I cant wear pads because they cause me to get a rash. I would love to win a keeper for my own health reasons and not to mention how much more environmentally friendly it is. It would save me so much money in the long run as well, not having to buy tampons all the time. Please pick me to win the keeper! I NEED ONE!

I have a very heavy flow, and the Keeper has made my life soo much easier, plus I am thrilled to have saved so much money over the years. Last, but definitely not least, as an avid environmentalist, I am truly grateful & so thrilled to be doing so much to reduce landfill waste and to avert the cutting of trees. Thank you to the makers of Keeper!
After alll this time and abundant usage, I am extremely overdue for getting a new one. My 9 year old version is not functioning as well and is finally starting to disintegrate!
I guess it’s time to let go of the old and bring in the new! Bring it on! Thank You!

    Hello,
I have to begin by saying that I love the idea of such a product! I have used traditional feminine products for many years and only recently, after having to cloth diaper my youngest, discovered cloth menstrual pads. While I love my cloth pads, and they are cheaper (not to mention the enviroment) in the long run, even they can be pricey up front. So when I came upon this nifty device I immediately thought that I would love to give this a try. Not just for me, but for my soon to be menstruating daughter. While this would not be the first product I would have her use, I certainly think having this little number in her arsenal of period products would put her leaps and bounds ahead of most young ladies.
Also, I love the idea of continuing with more products that are healthier for our bodies. As women I think we expect too much of ourselves and that has an effect on everything we do, including using potentially dangerous products on (and in) our bodies so we never have to slow down. While this product sure doesn’t seem to slow us down, at least it isn’t toxic and who isn’t for that?
I’ll end by saying thank you for putting the word out about more and safer choices for women everywhere.
    Blessings,
    Anna

I have been contemplating buying a Mooncup for months. I create very little waste as a result of my eating and buying habits and would also like to cut out the waste of menstrual products. I am currently studying business and sustainability and my main interest is in consumption and waste. I never realized how much waste the menstrual product industry created until recently. I am extremely careful of what I eat, the other personal care products I use, and the clothes I wear. I think that to move to the use of a menstrual cup is common sense for me. I am concerned with the effects that everything I come into contact with now will have on my body down the road. I pride myself in being of a DIY ethic and I think that using a menstrual cup is a great way to embody this ethic. DIY gynecology requires a woman to be very comfortable with her body and very aware of her menstrual cycle and using a cup facilitates both of these things. I am also very active and busy and would greatly appreciate the freedom of movement and extra time that the Mooncup would provide. As a student, I have very little money, despite working two jobs, so the money I would save is also extremely attractive as it would be a little extra to put toward student loans I have had to take out. Finally, several of the women I work with come to me for advice about how to live a more environmentally sustainable and healthy life and I would love to be able to tell them that a menstrual cup is a cheap and easy way to save thousands of lbs of waste from landfills and also avoid putting nasty chemicals in their bodies. Thank you for another opportunity!

I have been intrigued by this type of product for some while, but I have been very nervous to try it. I love the fact that it is environmentally conscious because I hate all the waste that goes into my monthly period. I would love a chance to try this out!

I would like to have the chance to try the Moon Cup. I am a budding environmentalist who was absolutely shocked at how many tampons and pads it is estimated that women use each year! I can imagine the waste filling up landfills or contaminating wildlife. The Moon Cup seems a like a perfect alternative that is comfortable, cheaper and environmentally friendly and I would love to recommend it to my friends and family. Also, as an active hiker, I love the idea of being able to go on hikes longer than five or six hours when I’m on my period. It’s extremely inconvenient to have to schedule activities and personal locations around when I’ll need to use a rest room. I’d love to have the chance to try out this product!

I first heard about The Keeper from a few of my dancer friends. I will admit, I was a little skeptical. However, I went to look at the website, and I’ve been saving up money to buy one ever since. The fact that I do not yet have one, that I am currently having to use a tampon, is annoying (and scary. I don’t eat fast food, why would I choose to put a different harmful product in my body?). As a dancer (I will receive my BFA in dance in May!), I keep myself active, and my schedule busy. I need a comfortable, easy way to keep myself focused during my menstrual cycle.
Not to mention, I feel guilty every time I use my bathroom trashcan. I often feel as though there is little more I can do to help save the environment. I already recycle, use a plastic water bottle, and ride my bike whenever possible. I feel as though by using The Keeper, I can continue to do my part.
    Thank you

In my teen years, I swore by Tampax. It’s what my mom chose and it worked for me (or so I thought). I used the brand faithfully and never gave the product’s materials much thought. I certainly never realized that there were other options to disposable tampons or pads.

I gave birth in December 2008 to my first child, a boy. Since that time, I’ve become much more aware of the environmental impact of various products we use.

We made the switch to cloth diapers for my son — mostly for cost reasons, but also for environmental and health reasons. I wanted confidence that the materials touching my son’s behind were safe. Oh, and the thought of the six-months worth of his disposable diapers sitting in landfills … yeah I still feel really bad about that.

So just as I’d prefer to use reusable diapers for my son, I want to use reusable, earth-friendly products for myself.

I recently had my first post-partum period and I tamed it with a stash of tampons and some pads that I had on hand. I felt uncomfortable with it — I was creating trash, plus I still don’t quite know what’s in those tampons.

Plus, once I realized how much trash just one period created, it further cemented the idea that I would like to try a Keeper.

I want to create less trash. I want to use something that I know will be safe on my body. I want to save money over the long haul.

    Thanks for the chance!

I had never heard of this. What a wonderful idea. I am absolutely going to be looking into these for my self and my daughter. We are doing what we can to “go Green” in our house and this really fits the bill. Thank you for the great information!

I’d love to have a keeper! I’d love to stop creating waste through use of disposable products, and frankly have always gotten scared at the TSS warning on every box of tampons.

I have yet to try a hygiene product that I am truly satisfied with. One way or the other, I am uncomfortable and messy. I know someone who uses a similar product to the Keeper and she is sold on them. I would love the chance to try one.

I’ve been fighting against endometriosis for 16 years, facing a great amount of blood every month for at least 7 days. I’m allergic to both tampons and pads.

One year ago I got pregnant but 3 months later I had a miscarriage, and I had to do a curettage. I don’t know what happened to my organism, so I’ve been bleeding for 8 months now, non-stop, since last June.

In October I found out the Moon Cup website and I couldn’t believe my eyes! After a research to know if it was safe buying on the internet I made an order. A few days later, the charge was debited from my credit card, but I haven’t receive the Moon Cup yet (and I don’t really think I ever will).

After two months sending emails, they told me they are having trouble finding my order, and it was all they said to me. And now, just to get things worse, my emails are being returned to sender… Very cool, isn’t it? Now it is really easy for me, in Brazil, to know what the hell happened to my order…

So I would be very grateful if I could win this contest…
In case I don’t, could you please talk to “the wonderful people at The Keeper, Inc.” and see if you can discover that for me?

    Thank you very much!

i need to try something new. i have always used tampons. i even use the natural kind. i get cramps so badly that i throw up each month. i have been checked over by my doctor and there is nothing wrong with my uterus. i believe that it is the chemicals in the tampons that are causing me so much grief. i do yoga, i don’t smoke cigarettes, use hot water bottles, take painkillers..i do everything i am told to relieve menstral cramps. i need to try something new. i stumbled upon this website this morning after a sleepless night of battling cramps. i am exhausted but i am finding hope that the keeper may work for me. here’s to hoping somebody reads this and understands the monthly pains that some women experience. i am willing to try anything new.

I would love to try the keeper! I am currently using clothpads that I made myself. I also use tampons when I can’t use the pads. I have wanted to try a cup for a long time but dont have the money to get one. I am all about saving the planet and would love to do my part and get rid of these disposable tampons. Thanks.

I first heard of menstrual cups from a missionary who lives in the jungle–tampons and pads are even less convenient there. I was intrigued by the idea and looked into it further. However, I got pregnant and didn’t need one for… 14 months. Now, the cycle has begun again and this morning I had a fresh reminder of why I want one. I’m tired of pads and tampons leaking on my clothes, scrubbing out my skivvies in the sink and an overflowing trash can. Now that I know there is an alternative, why would I waste money, time and trees on tampons month after month? With the family income being slashed in the last year, I would love to win the opportunity to try the Keeper. OH! And pads and thongs don’t mix, but I can wear whatever type of underwear I want with a Keeper! As a new mommy, I need less stress, mess and expense; I want change! On top of all that, March 3 is my birthday and to win a Keeper would be a great birthday surprise.

I recently got a diva cup but I am having a great deal of trouble removing it – so much so that half way through my period I switched back to tampons. The keeper, as pictures, seems to have a longer stem.

I would LOVE to try the Keeper. I have used the Diva cup for a few years (and would never go back to tampons or pads anyway!!!), but I need to upgrade. This is the only cup I have tried, and I love it, but I am really intrigued by the fact that the Keeper can be used for 10 years, whereas the Diva cup should be replaced yearly.

I just found out about this product just a couple days short of the deadline to submit this! How lucky!

I want to try the keeper for a plethora of reasons.
    1) For the sake of the environment
    2) For my bodily health and safety
    3) For my personal comfort and convenience (tampons hurt me and I’m hoping the keeper is more gentle)
    4) For my wallet
    5) For my traveling convenience
    6) For my lack of remembering when my period is arriving & not being prepared!!
    7) For the people who have to clean those little trash cans in the stalls of women’s restrooms, haha.
    8) Out of general curiosity!
    9) So I can advertise this eco-friendly method with my first hand experience to other ladies

Okay, I think I have enough reasons to make my request legitimate. I’m broke right now or I’d just buy one, but I almost don’t even want to win because some of these other ladies sound like they have more dire need of this product and I’ll feel guilty, haha. Just give us all one! Puhleeeaase?

After I had my first child I tried a Keeper and LOVED it however I did have a reaction to it and had to make use of the 3 month guarantee (love that you do that, it’s awesome!!) and planned to get a Moon cup instead. I then found out that I was pregnant and thus did not need one for a while. I have since had my second child and am at the point in nursing where I have just begun to need the moon cup again and would find it wonderful to win one. I choose to stay at home with my two children until they are in school full time and I am on a tight budget while I am doing so. It would be extremely helpful to win an item which is of practical use and will go very far to help me out with keeping within my budget!

Initially I was looking for an alternative to pad/tampons because I’m 95% sure I will be on my cycle during my June 19th wedding day :( but after reading reviews and product descriptions I’m super excited to find out if the MoonCup will be a perfect fit for me! I am a heavy bleeder and I have to change super tampons every 2 to 4 hours. I love the idea of not having to change so often and not polluting the earth with all of that TRASH! I would be so grateful if I won the MoonCup.

I live every part of my life with emphasis on sustainability. It’s a passion and a way of life. I realized that the only part of my life that’s still creating waste is the fact that I use pads that are not biodegradable and adds to the waste and landfills, I knew I had to do something to change. The Keeper is the last step for me to live a completely sustainable, earth-friendly lifestyle.

Thank you for the opportunity :) ! ♥

I’m so excited to enter the contest to win a Keeper I had a friend that purchased one several years ago, and loves it! I was planning on purchasing a keeper last year, but then I got pregnant, so I didn’t need one! I just had my son, and he’s wonderful! As part of our effort to live responsibly and to make the least amount of waste, we use cloth diapers, and potty our son to then also reduce the number of diapers being washed. I also like to be healthy and hate the thought of using bleached tampons! I usually use natural tampons, but that doesn’t eliminate the problem of excessive waste. Having a Keeper would help me to take another step toward responsible living, and being healthy!
