i am actually unsubscribing from retailer’s mailing lists. more coupons=more shopping=more spending. if i purchasing a particular item i will look online for coupons or promotions, and i look through the mailers and newspapers specials. but overall, i just dont need the temptation.

Our Michael’s used to print 40% off coupons like that and it was so tempting! We’d strategically plan to buy an item that cost $20 or more and use it. Many times the coupons expired without getting used. I think one day we even had one that wasn’t supposed to be good for a couple of days yet but the lady let us use it anyhow. I really liked those coupons, but we haven’t gotten any in a while! Maybe they were just trying to get us hooked?

The other fabulous commenters beat me to the punch — there are plenty of Michael’s coupons out there! Sometimes there’s also a second coupon for 50% an item for a single day (Sunday, maybe)? in the flier/weekly ad, so keep an eye out for it!

I always look for coupons before I go to ANY retailer, whether it’s a discount, department or specialty store. In fact, if I can’t find a coupon, I usually postpone the trip until I come up with one.

If you go to Michael’s site, click on Weekly Ad, then click on the coupon (you may have to click on it a second time) a new window will open which will allow you to print those coupons! Right now they are 40% off and you don’t have to buy a newspaper to get it! :-)

Michael’s offers printable coupons often times for 40% off, so if you’re on the list you should be getting notices about those. They’re great to use if you’re going to be a Michael’s “regular” :o)

In our Sunday paper we get a Michael’s and Joann’s insert every week and they both have a ’40% off any one item’ coupon. They also accept each others coupons, so in theory you could double up by using both in one trip, though you will have to go in line twice as they will only take one coupon per transaction.
