I am going to try using baking soda for a “no-poo” method. I have tried periods of washing my hair infrequently, but my hair does get oily pretty quickly using this method. Under those circumstances, I add some corn starch to give it a dry look.

For those who are experiencing hair that is too dry, I would recommend conditioning (before washing or while hair is still wet) with a natural oil like coconut, olive, or grapeseed. I understand that moisturizing your hair is especially helpful for curls.
