I've read TCOYF by Toni Weschler and found it amazing. Thanks so much for that link. I'll have to try it out.

As far as acupuncture goes- it is so expensive! It makes no sense to me that I can go to the pharmacy and fill my prescription for Clomid for $9 even after my insurance doesn't cover it, but to do it naturally and try Chinese herbs and acupuncture I'll be paying so much! It just seems backwards to me. :/

I would think you probably frightened her by stating that acupuncture is illegal in your state. Too bad. I wonder if you could visit her in person and start over again. Like Alisha, I'm curious to know if you are tracking your fertility, I'm telling you Mrs. Money, I'm starting to think you're my twin, LOL. I have used fertility awareness for contraception! Do you have the two "bibles" of NFP? I consider Toni Weschler's to be the big book with lots of technical information and examples, etc., but the companion must have book is Katie Singer's Garden of Fertility. This page of Katie Singer's has some info about PCOS http://www.gardenoffertility.com/naturalremedies.shtml She is also a big advocate of the Weston Price Foundation. Lots and lots of good information!

How much do you know about your infertility? Are you charting your cycle already? Have you used other natural methods of determining your fertile days?

My spouse and I use natural family planning (NOT the rythem method) to deterine which days of the month I am fertile. We use this as contraception and also to plan our children. So far, we are two for two on our efforts to plan our births. Next month, we will be attempting to conceive child #3, which (God willing!) will make our three children all have birthdays in June and spaced 2 years apart. I'm just saying it works for us and I can't believe how much fertility treatments cost - natural or not!

Things to look up: Basal Body Temperature, changes in cervical mucas, charting your menstral cycle. There are some great support groups that can give you some insight and encourgement. You could contact your local Catholic church, even if you are not Catholic. If you have tried all this already, I'm sorry to bore you. I'll pray for your success! - and hey, at least this endeavor is one thing where the practice is fun too!

@ Kacie- The other places wouldn't be too far from work, but I would feel better about swinging by this other woman's place on the way home. I think I may just call her and ask how much she charges. If I go once, that doesn't mean I have to go again. I'll just hope it goes better next time!

How far away would the next available person be? If it's not TOO far, it might be worth checking out. Maybe the 1st lady is really busy and isn't taking new clients.

Or, you could call back and explain a little more to see what she says.

I dunno! Good luck!
