I have garden envy! What a lovely garden. My space is very modest, but it is coming along. I planted two types of lettuce, a few butternut squash, and a few strawberries. We'll see how it goes. Blessings to you and your garden!

Wow! You guys are lucky you can have a year round garden. I am so sad about the beans but it seems like I've had lots of problems with bugs this year!

We're in the transition phase as well, the tomatoes are still going but not very strongly now and the peppers and black beauty eggplant are still strong. The rest has already been pulled and we've started brocolli, cauliflower and chard in pots to transplant later. Mr M is determined to do a year round garden since we have the climate for it, I rather enjoy the lazy days of winter but oh well. It's better for us and cheaper I suppose. Hope your pest problems go away, I hate the little buggers.

The ladybug looking thing sounds like a lady bug larvae. Did it look like this: http://tr.im/A3iC If so, you'll have adult lady bugs soon. Oh my gosh! Your Swiss Chard looks so delicious!! You could pick a ton already, my mouth is watering. It is barely time to plant seeds for our fall garden and I have little babies that came up from the seeds I planted last week. I planted more on Sunday. I am so envious of your green beans. My tomatoes got the Yellow Leaf Curl Tomato Virus, it is caused by the whitefly and it also infected my green beans and they never grew past three inches tall. Boohoo. I have not had much luck with green beans. Too bad you don't have a couple chickens, they would love the bugs. Do you have any lettuce planted? It will be time to plant peas around the middle of October, I always plant Sweet Pea flowers, I love the old fashioned variety for their scent. BTW, your garden is just perfect for the two of you! Any more and you'd probably have way too much, so I think your little plot of land is just perfect. Thanks for sharing your photos!! I will put up some photos in a couple months because my garden is pretty much a dried out desert right now, lol.
