What a neat story! I am glad I am not the only one that regrets not spending money on something. This past May when we were in CO, I saw this jewelry with sayings like "Be the change you wish to see" or something along those lines. I didn't want to spend the $20 on the necklace. Now I really wish I had. What a great reminder to myself to make me feel good! You live and you learn, I guess.

There is one thing that I wish I had spent the money on in college: a sheep-skin rug.

Back when the earth was cooling and I was a freshman, I went to the Unclaimed Baggage that was near my hometown. ( Awesome place!)
In their inventory was a lovely sheepskin rug---------very soft, the perfect size to throw over my viking style bed.

At the time, I was part of a medieval group and I travelled up the east coast LOTS. One of the most fun things we did was to make our travel items seem as close to the medieval period as possible. It helped with the illusion that we lived in that time. I imagined that rug would have worked as a blanket, or a rug for my viking style tent.

I worked with this group for over 10 years---and it was lots of fun. But I withheld buying this rug because I was the proverbial poor college student, and was saving all of my money for school.

Silly me. The rug was only $35.
I should have bit the bullet, bought the rug, and then enjoyed it for those next 10 years.

Ah, well. You live and learn.
