Have you considered replacing your toilet with a dual flush one? I’ve thought about it, but replacing an already working toilet with a newer model just doesn’t sound frugal or green to me. It’s actually possible now to actually give your existing toilet a dual flush toilet conversion with one simple kit. It is supposed to be “tool free”, making it easy for do it yourselfers to tackle the project quickly and easily.
Why is the dual flush conversion kit frugal and green?
-You can use your existing toilet, which saves you lots of money, plus keeps the toilet out of the land fill.
-You lower your water consumption and save money on your water bill because you’re using less.
Personally I won’t be buying a kit even though I gave it much thought, simply because we follow the old adage, “if it’s yellow, let it mellow; if it’s brown, flush it down.” I don’t think that we’d be doing the environment any good if we bought the kit, simply because we’d be increasing our water consumption. I do think it’s a fantastic idea, and if you’re the type who is flush happy, I’d be all over this like flies on… honey! 😉
Do you flush your toilet with every use? Would you convert your toilet to dual flush?
