Well, I am the proud owner of a new Canon digital camera. After much debating, I checked Best Buy’s website on Sunday, discovered the price had gone back to the regular price ($20 more than when it was on sale), I checked Circuit City’s website, and they still had it on sale. I decided I would jump on it and run up there to purchase one.
I mapquested it, just because I was curious to see how far it was so I could calculate how much it would cost me to pick it up versus free shipping. It was about 30 miles round trip, and that would cost me roughly $5 in gas, so I figured for $5 I would just suck it up and go. It didn’t take me more than 20 minutes to get to the store, and as soon as I went in, I went right over to the cameras to avoid temptation from the big screen tvs that were calling my name. I asked an associate for help, and he pointed out the camera, with a price tag of a camera that was not on sale. Oh, come on, I thought, and informed the guy that the camera was on sale on the website. I breathed a sigh of relief. He said it wouldn’t be a problem, grabbed the camera, and went up to the register.
It took him 10 minutes to figure out how to ring up the correct sale price. I, of course, didn’t care because I was saving money, but I was surprised that he wasn’t aware of how to do it. It also made me think of all the people that were paying $20 more for a camera than was necessary. I was happy that I did my research before I bought the camera. Sometimes my frugality makes me so proud!
I am very relieved that issue is resolved. I am debating on doing video posts now, as my camera has that option. The only problem is that I am shy and nervous about video blogging.
What do you think, should I start doing video posts?
