You Know You’re Living Green When…

You know you’re living green (or just a hippie) when you go to get in your husband’s car to go to work in the morning and there is a 5 gallon container of kitchen scraps SEAT BELTED in the passenger seat. That’s also when you realize that you have the perfect husband for you because not only does he smuggle food scraps from the restaurant, but he also cares so much for them that he buckles them in.  What a good dad he will be one day.

Spend, Save, or Pay off Debt?

Since we refinanced our mortgage, we had 45 days from the date that we signed the documents to make the first payment. Obviously this is more than the normal one payment every thirty days. Mr. Money got paid yesterday, and normally that paycheck would go towards paying our mortgage. The only problem is, our mortgage is now not due until the 23rd. Are you crazy?” CF: “Nah, I just think there are too many variables.  You know, the world will probably have ended by that time anyway, so what’s the point of saving if you aren’t even going to be around to enjoy it?” MM: {blank stare}… “Are you kidding?” CF: “No, I really think that.  With global warming and everything, our planet will probably explode or we’ll all be drowned or something. I’m living life now!” While we’re [...]
